Leon Marin Grez

I am an MD/PhD researcher with a background in cancer immunology and molecular oncology. I completed my medical degree at the University of Bologna, conducting my thesis research at Gustave Roussy. Before moving to Heidelberg, I worked on myeloid malignancies in the Coquet Lab at Karolinska Institutet.

My current research focuses on epigenetic modulation for immune prevention in Lynch syndrome. I am particularly interested in somatic evolution in normal mucosa and in the factors that shape the selection of mismatch repair-deficient precursors.

My doctoral work is supported by a fellowship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
