Isabella Caixeta Borges

Isabella Borges is a physician and doctoral researcher at Heidelberg University Hospital, working in the Department of Applied Tumor Biology. Her work focuses on the prevention and early detection of cervical cancer, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. She is involved in international research projects exploring the implementation of innovative screening and diagnostic technologies to improve access to cancer prevention and care. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the development and clinical evaluation of artificial intelligence-assisted colposcopy for the detection and assessment of HPV-associated cervical lesions.
